Iroquois Stakes is named for Iroquois, the first American horse to win the Epsom Derby in England. The Iroquois Stakes is the first points race on the Road to the Kentucky Derby. The Iroquois is also a “Win and You’re In” race for the  Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.
