Remembering Rita Won the Cornhusker at Prairie Meadows on July 6

Remembering Rita won the Cornhusker at Prairie Meadows by 1 1/2 lengths over pacesetter Dalmore. Remembering Rita stalked Dalmore till the turn for home. He gained the lead in-mid stretch and took the lead in the final furlong. Running Time  for the 1 1/8 miles on dirt was 1:49.33.

Remembering Rita in 2018 is undefeated in his three starts at Prairie Meadows. He broke his maiden on May 25th then followed with an Allowance Optional Claiming victory on June 13th and on July 6th won the Cornhusker Handicap ,(Grade III).  The Cornhusker Handicap was his first stake race.

McCraken finished third, Thirstforlife was fourth, followed by Matrooh, Hence and Irish Freedom. Chris Landeros was unseated at the start of the race from Krewe who stumbled leaving the gate.
