Review of Two Grades Stakes at Delaware Park on July 7

Delaware Park will have two graded stakes races on their July 7th card.  The two stakes are: $300,000 Delaware Oaks, (Grade III), and $200,000 Robert G. Dick Memorial Stakes (Grade III on Turf).

Race 10: Delaware Oaks, Grade III. For three-year-old fillies at 1 1/16 miles on dirt. Purse $300,000.

Red Ruby has three wins and one second from her five starts. She won her last race the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (Grade II) at Pimlico on May 18th. She ran fourth the  Honeybee Stakes (Grade III) at Oaklawn Park on March 10th. In her only other outing this year, Red Ruby won Martha Washington Stakes at Oaklawn on February 10th.

Coach Rocks finished second in the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes, (Grade II), at Pimlico on May 18th. She finished seventh in the Longines Kentucky Oaks, (Grade I), at Churchill Downs on May 4th. She won the March 31 Gulfstream Park Oaks,(Grade II), at Gulfstream Park on March 31st. She has stated five times with a record of 2-1-0 with earnings of $232,000.

Blue Strike ran second and Blue Union Rags finished fourth Light Hearted Stakes at Delaware Park on June 6th.

Gio Game ran third in her last outing the Acorn Stakes, (Grade I), at Belmont Park on June 9th. She won an Allowance Optional Claiming race at Keenland on April 13th.She has not won a Graded Stake race. Her 2018 record from 4 starts is 1-1-2 with earnings of $133,000.

Cascanueces has three wins from three starts. All her wins occurred at Hipodromo De Monterrico in 2017. She has not raced in 2018.

Maya Malibu won her last race an Allowance Optional Claiming race at Delaware Park on June 11th. Her best performance in a Stakes race was when she ran second in the 2017 Spinaway Stakes, (Grade I), at Saratoga on September 2nd.

Mo Shopping won the Light Hearted Stakes at Delaware Park on June 6th. She finished fifth in her only graded stakes performance the Gazelle Stakes,( Grade II), at Aqueduct on April 7th.

Esquisse is seeking her first win in North America. In her most recent, she was off the board in the Grade II New York Stakes,(Grade II), at Belmont Park on June 8th. In her two other starts this year, she finished second in an Allowance turf race at Belmont May 18th.  She finished and third in an Allowance turf race at Keeneland on April 11th.

Palinodie has a career record of a win, two seconds and five thirds from 12 starts, with earnings of $109,172. In her most recent outing she finished fourth in the  Sheepshead Bay,(Grade II), at Belmont Park on May 5th. Previously, she finished third in the Very One Stakes at Gulfstream Park on March 3rd.

Creative Thinking has won both of her turf races in 2018. Her last win was in the Keertana Stakes at Churchill Downs on May 26th. Her prior victory occurred in an Allowance race at Keenland on April 25th.

Giovanna Blues started one time in 2018. She finished sixth in an Allowance race at Pimlico on May 12th. She ran eight in the 2017 Robert G, Dick Memorial Stakes, Grade III.

La Manta Gris has two starts in 2018. She ran third in the Keertana Overnight Stakes at Churchill Downs on May 26th. She ran ninth in the Astra Stakes at Santa Anita on January 14th.
