Named after racehorse owner John Mabee, this race is run at Del Mar going nine furlongs (1 1/8 miles) on the turf for 3-year-old and older fillies. It was run as the Ramona Handicap until Mabee’s death in 2002. The mare Flawlessly won it three consecutive times from 1992 to 1994.
